Solving the World's Problems by Playing Video Games

    When you think of video games, the first thing that comes to my mind is all the countless hours I imagine someone playing. I think of the culture that comes with it, like the amounts of caffeine that is consumed, or snacks eaten or even the clothes that are worn and how that individual probably hasn't daylight in like a week. But, what if there was a possibility that playing video games can help solve the biggest world problems such as hunger, clean water or even incurable diseases . Well, that is what Jane McGonigal believes, and she explains it in her video, Gaming can make a better world. And it is amazing what is unfolding with gaming, because there is more than what meets the eye. I mean personally I play sports games, and the problem solving that comes from that because you are trying to outsmart your opponent and so many different strategies and everything come to mind. That is what is being shared, find ways we can use the problem solving in games such as World Of Warcraft and use it in real life situations. According to The Guardian there are games that you can play to help do certain things. The website is zooniverse in which has all these problem solving games. Now, it is also said that our minds recognize patterns and are built to make solutions when come across problems. So imagine, who would have thought gaming, formatted of course, can help find the solution to the biggest problems we suffer in the world. It is definitely a group effort not just an individual. So with that it would help shape the solution for many things that come across.
