The Panono Camera, is an evolution of what already is a very photogenic generation and society. It was created by German students at Technical University of Berlin, Jonas Pfeil, Borjn Bollensdorf and Qain Qin. Fun fact, Pfeil actually came up with the idea while on his trip to Tonga. Originally patent in 2012 then went through some revisions and now come with the Panono camera that takes 360 degrees photos.
Convergence:
- This is something that will be either really big or something that will flop because society isn't ready for it. But I don't think they could have came at a better time. From my understanding they are waiting for backing to help make this a reality. They need close to a million dollars, so they are taking pre-orders from a range of $499-549. This is something that has yet to hit the market and so unique. And you can access the photos and view from your phone so it is already compatible with some technology that you already have.
Consumerism:
- This would make such an impact. With such popular photo apps such as instagram or even having Facebook, this would change the game. People are always wanting to change the game and especially having a full panoramic photo, makes for some amazing memories. Performance, I mean after being revised and everything this is one of its kind so I expect it to make a big impact. With the how many photos are uploaded, and it is compatible with your phone or other technological devices you have. So, just a matter of time before there is something that is created to make these photos easy to upload and edit. it would be easier to upload and save to your cloud memory.
Interactivity:
- Individualism is one of the things that makes this device stand out. The consumer is very much in control of everything because it is dependent on the consumer on when and how to use it. I mean it is all wanting that the consumer. It is like a camera and it is something that also the model sticks out by how it looks, because it looks like a ball.
Technological Determinism:
- I don't believe that this will totally just change the future but it will spark the minds of something greater. Because the up and coming generation is very photogenic so being able to take 360 degrees photo like I said before. Now the only thing I see with that is possibly sometimes privacy, because not everyone is going to be aware that you are taking photos. Lets say you go to a park, or sometimes you do it to be goofy and take pictures of somebody doing something they weren't suppose to. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. But, other than that I see it changing the way we take pictures, I mean it is 72 megapixels and that is some detail.
Market Paradigm Shifts:
- As far as photography goes, like I said it will definitely change the way photos are taken. I feel it is something that people are trying more as a hobby because how convenient everything has become. For example, because of social networking especially twitter everyone pretty much writes a diary online. Same with photography, with apps such as instagram, and other photo edits that you can purchase it makes everyone feel like they are photographers. This is very going to help those people, especially very popular with those who are outdoors people, or even want to take a photo at a sport event.
